Movement in the Stillness

Here’s a little poem I wrote.

Slowly we rise into the pose.
Once our body has found
the shape it knows so well
we explore it:
playing with boundaries,
going deeper,
moving in micros, we find
movement in the stillness.

The breath steadies, we inhabit
our body, and the mind finds
equanimity. We adjust,
creating space, moving
into alignment. Shifting
weight, playing with gravity.
Not born from static, we find,
Movement in the stillness.
