Core-strength Yoga Flow/Vinyasa Sequence Part 1

Core-strength Yoga flow

We don’t need to do static, boring stretches to get a stronger core, we can put them together into a Core-strength Yoga flow such as this one and together with the movement and the breath we can become that little bit stronger every time we hit the mat.

Incorporate this creative yoga flow into your practice and you will start to notice your core-strength improve.

Improve your strength and stability in poses such as Chaturanga, headstand and crow.

Starting in Downward-dog (Adho Mukha Svanasana). Take 5 breaths here.

On the inhale lift the left leg to Three-legged dog (Eka Pada Adho Mukha Svanasana)

Exhale bring the knee through to the inside of the elbow.

Inhale Raise back up to three-legged dog.

Repeat 3 times.

Back to Downward dog + Vinyasa (Exhale Plank, Lower down Chaturanga, Inhale upward dog).

Do the same on the other side, knee to elbow x3, raising the right leg this time.

Back to Downward dog + Vinyasa (Exhale Plank, Lower down Chaturanga, HOLD for 5 seconds,  Inhale upward dog).

Then do the same again, but instead bring the knee to the outside of the elbow. Inhale Raising the left leg:

Back to Downward dog + Vinyasa (Exhale Plank, Lower down Chaturanga, HOLD for 10 seconds,  Inhale upward dog).

Do the same on the other side, inhale raising the right leg, exhale knee to outside of elbow x3 .

Back to Downward dog + Vinyasa (Exhale Plank, Lower down Chaturanga, HOLD for 15 seconds,  Inhale upward dog).
